Description

This screen print forms part of a series of prints which Stefan Szczesny produced in 2000 and which takes as its reference point and inspiration the island of Mallorca. This particular choice is owed to the artist’s predilection for the Mediterranean in general and a particular fondness of Spanish culture. The print depicts a bull’s head against a background of female nude, oranges and palm tree. The central motif constitutes a reference to the prominence of the bull in Spanish culture.
