Description
The French Riviera: a place of dreams and aspirations, also for Stefan Szczesny. France’s golden coastline means for the artist a unique gathering of beautiful nature, intense light, the sense pleasures of various kinds (even culinary) and high culture – after all, that inspired the Mediterranean coast a number of artists of international fame. This catalog, which is published on the occasion of a solo exhibition Stefan Szczesny in the Kunsthalle Emden, a variety of Szczesny works are shown, inspired by the French Riviera and mostly also locally – often in the open air, right on the beach – have arisen. The catalog is introduced by a detailed text of the former scientific director of the Kunsthalle Emden, Achim Sommer.
