Description
This lithograph dates to 1996. At the time, Stefan Szczesny spent much of the year in New York. His work from this period often shows a blend of urban themes and his trademark motifs (nudes, vegetation) indicating vitality and joie de vivre. ‘Eva in New York’ is a good example, depicting the typical Szczesny female nude before a background of New York skyscrapers. ‘Life’ here is not dwarfed by the urban landscape but dominates it.
