Description
This lithograph dates to 1998. Printed in Stefan Szczesny’s home town of Munich, it shows a decidedly Southern scene. The fruits still life of the title is juxtaposed with a vase with a seated female nude und a barque with three passengers. In the background, and framed in red, lush plant life is set off against a blue surface, indicating water. The print to some extent resembles Stefan Szczesny’s Caribbean paintings from the early 90s.
