SZCZESNY – INSEL MAINAU – EIN TRAUM VOM IRDISCHEN PARADIES

Description

In 2007, Szczesny transformed Mainau Island (Lake Constance) into an “earthly paradise”. In this, not only did art come into close contact with nature, but art even became nature. Numerous sculptures, glass objects and ceramics were arranged according to precise instructions of the artist. Flower arrangements and other landscape architectural means were used to create additional artworks. The Austro-American director Curt Faudon has captured this extraordinary project in striking images.
