Designed by the photographer Udo P. Klein, this book shows Stefan Szczesny’s so-called ‘shadow sculptures’. Cut from 3m flat steel plates, these sculptures resemble oversized silhouettes. In 2006, these ‘shadow sculptures’ were installed in numerous places on the peninsula of Saint-Tropez. This book captures the extraordinary atmosphere of the installations: pitch-black silhouettes against the glistening southern sun, the azure sea and the lush nature of Saint-Tropez in the background.
